El Paso says 280,000 bpd Aruba refinery shut on outage

NEW YORK, Nov 26 (Reuters) - El Paso Corp. (nyse: EP -
news - people) said on Tuesday its entire 280,000
barrels per day (bpd) refinery on Aruba in the Dutch
Antilles was shut on Monday due to a power outage
affecting the whole island.

"The whole island lost power at 4 p.m. local time
(1800 GMT) yesterday," a company spokesman said. "They
are working continuously to restore power to the
refinery."

There is no estimated restart, the company added.
