Back and forth Bourdain marathon and Gustav coverage. Mildly confusing. Wonderfully stimulating. Want to cook all day. Drink Rum and stay dry not cry.

NOLA being belted by wind and rain. A great city under stress again. Why do we build them so near hell.

Amazing all civilization grows from its ports. Those are always vulnerable to the vagaries of the weather.

Ernie stays home!

one of the first real blogs I stumbled into is Ernie the Attorney
Ernie lives in New Orleans. He is staying put. he intends to update thru his blog as long as he has power. He's also updating his twitter stream @ernieattorney . Should be quite interesting. He held out quite a while during katrina then eventually left town.
